Who?
We were established in 1993 by Derek Nixon, a graduate of the former Rycotewood furniture college, and a Master Craftsman with over 25 years experience in the domestic furniture industry.
Our in-house disciplines include discerning, knowledge-based design of fitted and free-standing furniture, manufacturing, polishing and finishing, hand veneering, turning, upholstery and installation
Where?
Based in the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle on the North Yorkshire/Durham border, we have customers throughout the UK and even further afield. Los Angeles is the furthest we have sent a commission - so far.
Why?
Our specialist design software !
We will not use computers to design your furniture. Not because of any Luddite tradition, but because we believe only a pencil, a sketch pad and many years of learning, listening and experience can provide a truly bespoke service.
